MHD waves are ubiquitous in the solar atmosphere. They are observed in large sunspots as well as smale scale magnetic elements at the resolution limit of current solar telescopes.
In this contribution I will review recent progress in the field with a particular emphasis on the measured energy flux corresponding to different MHD wave types, and the implications for the energy budget of the upper layers of the Sun’s atmosphere.
